The Boss Ladies
For Crystal and Mikala of K.A.M. Blanks, modern-technology has allowed them to work remotely from different states. Despite being in separate places they've been able to find ways to collaborate and run their business successfully. Crystal currently resides in Washington State where Mikala lives in Texas.
Crystal and Mikala are two Boss Ladies who found each other on TikTok and hit it off right away. Fueled by their shared passion for all things "glitter", they decided to go all-in together and start a business. It was the perfect match, as they complemented each other's strengths perfectly.
From creating amazing content to managing the day-to-day operations, these Boss Ladies had it all covered! With their hard work and dedication, they quickly gained attention in the glitter community and were soon making waves with their unique sparkly designs. Through their combined efforts, Crystal and Mikala have created something truly special: a business that shows the world just how powerful Boss Ladies can be.
Running a Business Remotely
Mikala and Crystal understand that running a business together remotely can be challenging. Crystal explained that both of them have different working styles and it was important to discuss those openly with each other in order to ensure they had the same understanding of how their roles as business owners should be handled.
Mikala added that delegation is key for their success. Mikala takes on certain tasks while Crystal focuses on others. This helps ensure that all areas of the business are taken care of without anyone becoming overwhelmed or overburdened. Overall, open communication and giving each other grace has been their strength.
A highlight of our discussion was when we talked about how excited they were for their first in-person meet up. It was an opportunity for them to get together and make plans face-to-face as opposed to over video chat. They shared that they were a little nervous that they weren’t going to connect but, in the end, their bond only grew.
