Business BLAB - 10 Tips to Stay Consistent on Social Media

Raise your hand if you have a love/hate relationship with Social Media…

Social Media is such an important piece of our businesses but can bring up a lot of feelings of overwhelm!

So, what is the best way to combat that overwhelm?... Consistency! Consistency is the way to carve out an audience, and give them what they need. Do you know who your audience is? If not, that's a great place to start! Here are our tips to for staying consistent on Social:

Be YOU- No one has ever done what you are doing in the way YOU are doing it! Even if you only help one person, they need to see that. Focus on helping one person at a time and leading with value!

Own Your Value~ There are people waiting for you to help them! Have faith in what you do, be good at what you do and someone will pay the price. Be a good person, people will use your service bc you’re doing what you do for your customer

Stop Comparing Yourself- A lot of the things you see may not be true! And even if they are true, you cannot compare your chapter 1 to the middle of someone else's story!

Don't Over Commit- You don’t have to keep up with all the bells and whistles, you just need to find what you can enjoy and can realistically commit to and run with it

Be Intentional- You NEED a strategy, don’t just post to post. You are doing more damage to yourself by just throwing a post up to say you did one... you need to take time and be intentional with what you choose to share!

Discover Your Message- Who do you want to be perceived as? Make sure that your message is clear in everything you do. A great way to do this is to define your content pillars and stick to them. What do you want to be known for?

Know Your Brand- Let your brand guide you through what you post! If your brand is built around your life, consistency will come naturally!

Batch your content- Make sure you never fall off track by creating content ahead of time! Spend an afternoon making videos, canva graphics, or taking photos and create a library of content you can easily pull from without having to second guess anything.

Focus on Connection- It’s not about the followers, it’s about the engagement! Spend less time worrying about how many followers you have, and focus on authentic connections! Do everything you do with connection in mind, and the followers will come.

Enjoy the process- Social Media is a great tool, but it's suppose to be fun! Make sure you don't lose sight of the fun parts!

Happy posting!
