Business BLAB- Why You Need a Website

Hey Boss Lady... we see you out there hustling and building your audience! You're doing everything you can to get out there and provide that value to everyone who will listen. And sure, social media is great (and rules when we think about online marketing), but this is your reminder that a good old website is not dead! As you are growing your brand it is crucial to get yourself in front of as many eyes as you can!

Many website hosts have SEO tools that can help your site be found, provide another set of analytics to help you see who you are reaching, and can even link with your Google account to help you create ads and more!

We are by no means website designers, or experts on SEO or google, but Megan has recently built two websites from scratch on GoDaddy.com and Wix.com and it has been a piece of cake! Literally, the most un techy person here… trust us, you can do it too! And if you still don't think the designing is your jam, there are plenty of amazing website designers that can hook you up! Here are some of the reasons we think you NEED a website for your business, too!

  • Own YOUR name and YOUR brand! Purchasing a domain is cheap and effective! It makes your look legit when you can take your branding to the next level with a branded website name. Your website should be a beautiful reflection of your branding and show anyone who visits who you are at first glance!

  • Networking! Instead of rambling off all your social handles, email addresses, and life story, you can give a quick .com that provides everything you want people to know! Your site should be a place that directs your audience to everything you have to offer and makes it easy to access what you’re doing.

  • Blogging made easy! There are plenty of blog hosting sites, but it is easy to create a blog page right on your site. Blogging helps your audience get to know you on a more personal level and ups your connection game instantly!

  • Build your email list! A website can also be a landing page to grab info from your audience to keep them in the loop.

  • A way to let your audience know what you want them to do! Whether you want them to listen to your podcast, check out your online store, or tour your latest listings, a call to action button can be added right to the front page of your site! You can’t expect your audience to read your mind, so a gentle nudge in the right direction will take them where they need to go.

  • Learn who is watching and create better FB ads! Connect FB Pixel to your site to start gearing your FB ads to your website audience. This is a pretty simple step that can be added on to your site to help your paid ads on FB reach who actually wants to see them.

  • Blogging made easy! There are plenty of blog hosting sites, but it is easy to create a blog page right on your site. What parts of your business are you most excited to feature? You will get to know yourself and your brand even better when you spend some time working with your site.

So roll up those sleeves and hit the keyboard! We know you will be as excited as we are with what you come up with!
