My Top 10 Trend Predictions for Business in 2023: Subscriptions

Now, who doesn't love a good subscription? I personally subscribe to quite a few boxes and a couple business memberships every single month. And a subscription for your business is a great way to create a more reliable and consistent income and get in front of more customers who are looking to make things easier in their day too.

Hello- Auto payment! You only have to sign up once, set it and forget it, right? We are looking to make things as easy for our customers as possible, and subscriptions are a great way to do that. Now think about the products or services that you offer.

How can you turn your ideas into some kind of subscription model?

Let's break it down on a few ideas on subscriptions that you can incorporate into your business strategy this year. The first one is pretty simple, a subscription box, right? So many of us have heard of these. So many of these probably subscribe to these. This is probably one of the most popular and the one that comes to mind first, when you think of subscriptions.

I am personally subscribed to several boxes that come monthly or quarterly. Hello, fab Fit, fun Box is my favorite. So is there something you offer in your business that would benefit your customers to receive on a regular basis? There are so many things that you could put into a box and make a subscription out of.

Just think about your ideal client and what they'd like, plus what your goals are for your business, and see what kinds of things make sense.

The next is a digital resource toolkit. If you'd like to keep things digital, you can create a subscription model similar to a box, but keep it all online. I like to think of this as a digital toolkit.

I've actually been playing around with the idea of creating something like this myself. So I'll give you a real life example here. So my audience and ideal clients are moms building a business at home with small children. So what do these moms need? Time management tools, household management tools, business tips and tricks and tools and templates and things like that.

There are several things that I could create in a digital template that could pair together well in a little bundle and be offered on a month to month or even quarterly basis for my audience.

Hello, passive income!

Your audience not having to jump through a bunch of hoops to get what they need and the best part.

They just sign up once and receive the resources as often as needed. This one, I'm super excited about trying out, so I'll keep you posted. Uh, but I, I feel like it could be a really great thing to incorporate into many of our businesses.

The next one is a private podcast. Now these are becoming increasingly more popular and I am here for it.

Podcast creation is a great way to go deep on a topic and provide some real value. But you can definitely offer even more in-depth training on topics you cover on your regular podcast in a paid model, private podcast, or just have a private podcast and not even a public option if you don't want to have multiple different podcasts.

Your listeners could pay a monthly fee to have access to the private episodes and you can provide them with a ton of value by recording a podcast. It's a really great outside of the box tool that is super, super trendy this year. So make sure that it's something that you are thinking about because you can really go deep and give a lot of value to your customers.

Online Community.

This is the last one we're gonna cover today, and my absolute favorite, specifically talking about an online community membership option. So an online community can offer support, training, accountability, inspiration, and most importantly, connection with a group of people who have a similar goal.

There are tons of platforms out there that can house a community like this, and you can even just get started with a good old fashioned Facebook group and a PayPal subscription if you don't wanna mess around with some of these other paid platforms. You will want to have a baseline model for your community with what you offer and what people can expect, and even set up different tiers within your membership, if that works for your offerings, so that there's options for people.

But really focusing on the benefits of your community and what it will offer someone, because there are a ton of communities like this out there. So how can yours stand out? This is what really makes these work, is being able to provide value to a group while making a consistent and predictable income and making sure that it is unique enough that it's getting in front of people and outshining some of the other groups that are out there.

So really think about what it is that you have to offer, what it is that your ideal clients are looking for, what makes you unique, and how you can bundle all of this together in a way that's going to provide resources to people.

PS. This is what I've done with Boss Ladies and Babies headquarters.

It is a space for mom entrepreneurs to come together and learn and support and collaborate with each other. There's a ton of education in person on Zoom, chances to connect and resources galore. And what makes my community unique is that you can come and learn and connect about business and also learn, and.

And breakthrough on motherhood. It is a space where you are safe to be a mom and to be an entrepreneur where you don't have to choose between one or the other. And we talk about motherhood and business all around. That's the common thread throughout the community. There's tools and resources for business and motherhood throughout the entire community.

And everyone in the community are moms. And so they all understand what it's like to be a mom building a business with children at home. I love my community Boss, ladies and Babies headquarters. I like to think of it as your personal digital headquarters for everything you need for business and motherhood.

But creating something like this for me has been the most exciting thing I've done in my business. And I would love to see what kind of community memberships you can create for your business.

So is a subscription in the cards for your 2023 business strategy. I would love to hear what you're working on, or if you have any questions, send me a message at Megan@bossladiesandbabies.com. And until next time, stay bossy.
